Many 25 year olds are just graduating from school and are still trying to figure their zest for life, but this most certainly is not the case for Rick Horsland. In the few years that he has been in the business, this dedicated individual has already established himself as an asset within the Real Estate Market and is not stopping there. Already in the top tier of Real Estate Agents within his company, Rick Horsland has a fever for selling Real Estate and understands the effort that is involved in order to succeed.

"I treat every transaction as if I were buying or selling my own property,” says Rick. “I understand that Success is not measured just by sales, but also by relationships built. I communicate continually with my clients, and respond to their individual needs and desires."

Upon completion of his education, Rick went on to become a car sales Representative for three years. It was at this time that Rick honed his Sales Skills and really learned what it takes to be successful in the sales industry.

After hearing stories about selling Real Estate from his close friend and confidant Ron Schwartz, who was one of Canada’s top Realtors in his day, Rick decided to take the course for more general knowledge. He felt it could help him in his future investments while he still worked as a car salesman. Once Rick obtained his Real Estate License in February 2005, he continued to work both in the car industry and as a Realtor for RE/MAX of Nanaimo.

When Rick helped his first client (a close friend) buy a condo, he became infatuated with the idea of being able to help people make money while making their dreams of owning Real Estate become a reality. It was at this time that Rick decided to focus 100% of his efforts in his new found passion, Real Estate.

"At the car dealership, I loved helping people, and wouldn't trade that experience for the world," states Rick. "As an agent, I get to help people make their lives better. Whether it is helping a first time buyer make a sound first investment, an investor make a great return, or a family who needs every penny, I can sell their home for top dollar and them as far ahead as possible."

RE/MAX of Nanaimo has been the top choice in Real Estate sales in for the past 10 years with over 80 agents. With 2 locations throughout Nanaimo, RE/MAX of Nanaimo has consistently held a dominate market share of nearly 40%.

3 1/2 Years later and over 170 successful sales, Rick's commitment remains, "helping people with Real Estate is just something that I do and enjoy, I wouldn’t give it up for the world."
